Part 2
The next morning, Janet’s six kids were making a racket downstairs in the kitchen getting ready for school. Janet looked over at the clock, she had slept through her alarm! Startled, she jumped out of bed and immediately went into the bathroom to get ready.
“My god, Janet... Have you ever let yourself slip away…” Janet was disgusted with how she looked in the mirror. Her face and hands were looking puffy and swollen, her arms and face were flaky with dry skin, her hair seemed to be thinning quite a bit and man did she look like she had put on weight. “How do I still have a husband looking the way I do. My god, what a loving man!”
With the sight she just saw in the mirror, she decided to go to the gym after she dropped her kids off at school.
At the gym later that day, Janet couldn’t seem to use the same weights she used to. She said to some of the other people around her that it felt like she was lifting double... This certainly wasn’t the case. After a while of painfully trying to exercise, she wasn’t getting anything accomplished and felt worse than when she came,. She decided to go home and take a nap. Janet was feeling awfully tired.
Six o’clock rolled around and her husband woke her up again on the side of the bed screaming her name. She just couldn’t seem to hear him until he shook her and the concern in his voice became more obvious.
“Honey, you have been sleeping more than ever and I heard about your experience today at the gym! You sound weak. Maybe you should go to the doctor. It couldn’t hurt.”
Janet tried to get out of bed, but she couldn’t move in a well coordinated manor so her husband helped her. She stumbled to the mirror and it seemed like she was just looking worse than she did in the morning.
“Something is wrong, maybe I’m just sleep deprived. I’ll go see Dr. Gabriel tomorrow.” Janet kissed her husband as he started down the stairs to greet the kids.
